New and Innovative Intranasal
Splint Enhances a Patient’s Comfort
Eagan, Minnesota – April 15, 2005 - Micromedics, a privately
held manufacturer of medical devices, introduces the Breeze™ Nasal Airway
Splints featuring a unique design with a tapered airway, beveled ends and two
suture holes. The tapered airway of the Breeze™ creates a pressure gradient
force providing superior airflow to the patient. The tapered airway also resists
clogging of the splint. The beveled ends of the splint give the surgeon easier
entry for suctioning, as well as more direct access to the two suture holes. Each
splint has two suture holes for easier suture placement.
